Board of Directors

As a borrower owned cooperative, Premier Farm Credit is governed by its Board of Directors.

The stockholders elect nine directors and those directors appoint a non-Farm Credit stockholder director to serve on the Board.

Board Chairman

Martin Christensen, Fort Morgan, CO
Mr. Christensen raises corn and alfalfa, beef cows and Holstein springers. Martin also has a custom cutting business, chopping haylage and corn silage. Martin was elected to the Board in 1990.

Vice Chairman

Gary Lancaster, Julesburg, CO
Mr. Lancaster is the former Colorado State University County Extension Agent for Sedgwick County, Colorado. Gary was appointed by the Board in 1993 as a non-member director. Mr. Lancaster is Chairman of the Audit Committee.

Albert E. “Ed” Amen, Merino, CO
Mr. Amen’s operation consists of irrigated corn, beans, and alfalfa. Ed was elected to the Board in 1986.

Martin Brophy, Eckley, CO
Mr. Brophy raises irrigated corn, dry edible beans, irrigated and dryland wheat, and dryland hay for livestock. Mr. Brophy also maintains a cowherd and runs yearlings for grass and fat slaughter market. Marty was elected to the Board in 2001. Mr. Brophy is a member of the Audit Committee.

Dennis Firme, Haxtun, CO
Mr. Firme operates a partnership with his brothers and raises both dryland and irrigated wheat and corn. Dennis was elected to the Board in 1987.  Mr. Firme is a member of the Audit Committee.

Eldon Heermann, Holyoke, CO
Mr. Heermann raises irrigated and dryland wheat and corn. Eldon was elected to the Board in 1997.

Bruce Kokes, Crook, CO
Mr. Kokes raises wheat, Proso millet, and dryland sudex/millet hay and runs a cow/calf operation. Bruce was elected to the Board in 2009.

Wayne Midcap, Wiggins, CO
Mr. Midcap has a dryland farming operation with his two brothers and nephew. They raise wheat, millet and milo. Mr. Midcap also has a certified seed wheat business. Wayne was elected to the Board in 2005.

Robert L. Sitzman, Wray, CO
Mr. Sitzman raises corn, beans, and alfalfa. Bob also operates a fat cattle finishing operation. Bob was elected to the Board in 1985.

Leland Willeke, Otis, CO
Mr. Willeke resides north of Otis and raises dryland wheat. Leland was elected to the Board in 1993.
